Role Overview: This position involves evaluating and treating patients primarily in Rehab and LTAC hospitals, with responsibilities including daily documentation, patient and staff education, and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and discharge evaluations, set treatment goals, and document progress accurately.
- Develop and implement timely treatment plans to achieve functional goals.
- Identify therapy educational needs and provide PRN as appropriate.
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team, serving as a mentor for interns when needed.
- Participate in skills checks and maintain proficiency in discipline-specific practices.
- Manage equipment orders, liaise with vendors, and communicate with outside physicians and professionals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
- GA Physical Therapy license or eligibility, with BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum one year of experience in Rehab, SNF, LTACH, or Acute settings preferred.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
