Role Overview: A full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist provides rehabilitative services to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity across diverse settings. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and educating patients and families on care and discharge procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment goals, plans of care, and discharge strategies, ensuring they align with patient needs and family input.
  • Treatment Planning and Care: Execute treatment plans, select appropriate interventions, revise goals as needed, and provide ongoing education and discharge instructions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment sessions, family education, and discharge documentation following departmental protocols.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, punctuality, and adhere to dress code and safety protocols. Communicate effectively and participate in meetings and training.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork: Deliver respectful, compassionate care, foster teamwork, apply service recovery principles, and promote a positive environment for patients and staff.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and assist in onboarding new staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and basic computer proficiency.
