Marketing Specialist

Position Summary

LigTel Communications is seeking a driven, creative individual, with excellent communication skills, to join our team as a marketing specialist. This position is responsible for maintaining the company’s brand identity internally and externally through developing, coordinating, and communicating effective marketing strategies, publicity, education, advertising and promotional campaigns.

This position plays an integral role in building and engaging LigTel’s customer base and implementing effective strategies that will promote the company’s long-term growth and history.

Essential Job Functions

• Plan and coordinate marketing activities, events, and materials
• Helps create digital content/ads and manages companies’ social media platforms
• Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services
• Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on any new sales opportunities by introducing new technologies, products, and services to support clients
• Participation in local events to include chamber and economic forums, home and garden shows in the local area
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Critical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Professional appearance and integrity
• Highly proficient using social media platforms
• General understanding and experience in website CMS (Content Management Systems) such as WordPress
• Expertise with Adobe apps (i.e., Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
• General computer skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
• High school diploma or equivalent plus two or more years of previous sales and or marketing experience required
• Photography and Video Production experience and skills would be beneficial

This is a full time, hourly, non-exempt position. This position requires satisfactory results of a background check and drug screen.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
