MSP Systems Engineer

Infinity Technology Services is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) serving businesses throughout the Kansas City metro area. We help our clients solve complex technology challenges through responsive support, smart infrastructure solutions, and long-term technology partnerships.

We’re looking for an experienced MSP Systems Engineer who enjoys designing solutions, solving difficult technical problems, and taking ownership of projects from planning through completion.

In this role, you’ll work across a variety of client environments and technologies, lead infrastructure projects, provide senior-level technical expertise, and help other engineers grow. You won't be limited to supporting one network or doing the same thing every day.

What You’ll Do

• Own technical execution of projects such as Microsoft 365 and cloud migrations, server upgrades, network deployments, infrastructure refreshes, and new-client onboarding
• Help scope, plan, configure, test, document, and implement technology solutions
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to complete projects successfully and minimize business disruption
• Participate in scheduled maintenance when projects require work outside normal business hours

Solve Complex Problems

• Serve as a senior escalation resource for challenging issues involving servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, security, and end-user environments
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Identify long-term solutions instead of relying on temporary fixes
• Recognize recurring issues and recommend improvements that increase reliability, performance, and security

Help Strengthen the Team

• Share knowledge and mentor developing engineers
• Improve technical documentation, standards, and processes
• Collaborate with Service Desk and project team members on complex issues
• Help evaluate new technologies and identify better ways to support our clients

What We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you have:

• 5+ years of hands-on IT experience, preferably including senior support, systems administration, network administration, or project engineering
• Experience independently troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and cloud technologies
• Experience implementing or supporting servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs, and business applications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• A customer-first mindset and willingness to take ownership of problems through resolution
• A desire to continue learning and help teammates develop their skills

• RMM and endpoint management tools

• Security and cybersecurity tools
• Business hardware, printers, wireless networks, and structured cabling

Nice to Have, Not Required

• Previous MSP experience
• Experience leading infrastructure or migration projects
• Experience with IT service management and ticketing platforms
• Experience working across multiple client environments

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule & Location

• Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday
• Onsite inKansas City, Missouri 64110
• Local travel to client locations as needed
• Rotating after-hours/weekend on-call responsibilities
• Occasional scheduled after-hours project or maintenance work
