Senior Accountant– CPA Firm

We are a growing Bergen County CPA firm seeking a Senior Accountant with at least 4 years of CPA-firm experience. Strong skills in workpaper and financial statement preparation, preparing partnership and corporate tax returns for closely held businesses, individual, and trust tax returns.

Work On

You’ll be hands-on with a mix of clients in industries that require real technical depth, including:

· Commercial real estate partnerships

· Closely held businesses across multiple states

This role does not involve:

• International clients
• Public company or SEC work
• Big-firm siloed specialization

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accounting workpapers for compilation and review engagements. Assist, as needed in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for the related partnership, S corporations, C corporations, and individuals.

· Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with firm team members

· Supervise staff as needed

· Support planning, projections, and transactional matters

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in a CPA firm
• Strong competency with accounting, financial statement preparation.
• Relevant tax experience
• Ability to manage multiple engagements
• Solid working knowledge of CCH Engagement, CCH ProSystem fx
