Children's Boutique Sales Associate & Social Media Coordinator

Lex & Cleo is an independently owned children's clothing, gift and accessories boutique located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. If you love everything adorable and sweet about children, enjoy working with customers and have a creative eye for social media, this could be the perfect job for you!

We are looking for a part-time Sales Associate & Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This position combines working in our boutique with creating and managing social media content for Lex & Cleo.

The position includes at least 3–4 days per week working in the boutique, including weekend availability, as well as additional flexible hours outside of the store for editing, planning and posting social media content.

Daily Boutique Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the boutique
• Working with customers to help them find the perfect gift or item for their little one
• Ringing up sales and gift wrapping items for customers
• Unpacking new merchandise, entering orders into our Point of Sale system and steaming new clothing
• Creating and updating visual displays and merchandising
• Becoming familiar with our products, brands and new arrivals
• Must be comfortable using an iPad, be a quick learner and able to troubleshoot basic software issues
• Must have excellent customer service skills

Social Media Responsibilities

• Creating fun and engaging content for Instagram, Facebook and other social platforms
• Photographing and filming new arrivals, outfits, gifts, displays and other products
• Creating and editing Reels, Stories and short-form video content
• Planning and posting content consistently throughout the week
• Coming up with creative content ideas that fit the Lex & Cleo brand
• Staying current on social media trends
• Highlighting new arrivals, seasonal products, events and what's happening in the boutique
• Engaging with our online community and helping grow our social media presence

Availability & Experience

• Must be available to work at least 3–4 days per week in the boutique, including weekends
• Additional social media hours can be completed outside of the boutique for editing, planning and posting content
• Must have flexible, year-round availability, including weekends and holidays
• Must be dependable, organized and comfortable working independently
• Social media/content creation experience preferred
• Retail experience preferred

Regular time working in the boutique is an important part of this position so that you can become familiar with our products, customers and brand and use that knowledge to create authentic content for Lex & Cleo.
