Systems Admin/IT Solutions Engineer 2

LBMC Technology Solutions is currently seeking a Systems Admin-IT Systems Engineer to add to the team. Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. The right person for this role must thrive in a rapidly changing environment, while maintaining a busy workload.

Candidates should have technical experience with Microsoft Office 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Azure server management, Active Directory administration, Windows Server administration and networking.The preference is for the individual to be local to middle Tennessee. There will be some local travel, along with remote work

This individual’s principal goals are to provide direction and support regarding IT solutions that enhance the business operations of our customers and to ensure the optimum level of customer service in support of LBMC’s Core Purpose and Values. This role will work closely with decision makers internally and externally to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for our clients.

Specific Duties include the following:

• Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by assuming responsibilities as follows.
• Establishes solid working relationships with clients to establish engagement expectations and assess needs. Plans service objectives by determining requirements; defining, assembling, and scheduling required service resources; confirming costs; defining service measurements.
• Resolves issues by obtaining and coordinating reaction among service areas
• Identifies the most effective means of meeting engagement objectives, including the use of technology and the right mix of procedures and personnel
• Monitors engagement process, providing corrective action as necessary and promptly identifying changes in engagement scope.
• Ensures engagement work product is neat and well organized.
• Strives to complete engagements timely, within budget and with acceptable realization.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills in expressing opinions, teaching, coaching with team members and clients.
• Possess excellent troubleshooting techniques as they relate to the functional area of expertise.
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other personnel throughout the firm.
• Provide day to day technology support to our clients and Staff Engineers.
• When necessary, work with team members to develop specifications and/or requirements for customized hardware and software solutions.
• Develop and review project plans and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives of the customer. Work with project managers to define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to department leads, support staff, and end users.
• Strive for profitable engagements across the circle of services by managing time wisely.
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, customers and peers regarding pertinent activities.
• Increase revenue by recommending new and additional services to clients when appropriate.
• Provides ongoing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Works heavily in project deployments and project planning, ensuring successful and consistent implementations.
• Creates and maintains thorough and updated standards documentation and checklists.
• Work with Microsoft server and application solutions
• Implement and troubleshoot on premise networking (wired and wireless) solutions
• Deploy and troubleshoot security and firewall-based solutions
• Design, migrate and troubleshoot cloud-based solutions
• Implement and support backup solutions; on premise and cloud based
• ?Deploy and support various applications, as needed by clients

Required Certifications, Training, Skills, Specific Knowledge and/or Experience

Has obtained at least one Microsoft certification and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of expertise.

Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified

Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or other relevant role-based certifications

• 5+ years of administration/engineer of experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations is preferred
• Experience with Network/Switching is preferred
• Windows Server/Active Directory
• Amazon Web Services experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Azure experience is a plus
• SharePoint Online experience is a plus
• Microsoft, networking, and security certifications are a plus
• Mac skills are desired
• Experience with Windows deployment and support
• Experience with end user support
• Attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
