Fund Controller

Larson Capital Management LLC is seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join our dynamic team! As the Fund Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our investment funds.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the fund accounting team.
• Prepare and review financial statements and investor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support fund strategy and decision-making.
• Monitor fund performance and provide analysis and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage fund cash flow and liquidity, including forecasting and capital calls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements specific to the fund’s industry and jurisdiction.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard fund assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to assess and communicate fund performance and strategy.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents.
• Evaluate and improve fund accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Liaise with investors to address inquiries and provide timely financial information and performance data.
• Lead and mentor fund accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Assist in the structuring and launch of new funds, ensuring proper setup of accounting and reporting processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, or mutual funds.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with audit coordination and financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting requirements for investment funds.
• Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies.
