Accountant

Location: 4755 E. Colorado Blvd., Spearfish, SD

Lantis Enterprises is looking for an experienced accountant to join our home office team in Spearfish, South Dakota.

This position works with our corporate accounting staff, vice presidents of operations and facility administrators/executive directors to maintain accurate financial records for our skilled nursing and assisted living communities, as well as other company operations.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented and comfortable handling a variety of accounting responsibilities, including payroll, accounts payable, billing and assisting with facility budgets. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year accounting degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers, prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with monthly financial statements, reports and facility budgets.
• Process payroll, including tax reporting and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor inquiries and related tax forms.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Work with facility personnel on accounting procedures and reporting requirements.
• Billing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• At least one year of payroll experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.

This position requires someone who can work independently, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality while supporting the accounting needs of multiple facilities.
