About this role

La Salsa Verde Taqueria is seeking a certified Human Resources Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations, legal compliance, and employee relations across our multi-unit restaurant group. Based 100% on-site at our Support Center in the Dallas–Fort Worth area (five days per week; non-remote), this position serves as a central point of contact for frontline team members, management, and the leadership team.

While primary duties are centered at the Support Center, periodic visits to local restaurant locations will be required to support store teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Manage federal and Texas employment-law compliance, including wage-and-hour requirements, overtime, tip administration, employee classification, accurate recordkeeping, and workplace investigations.
  • Employee Relations & Communication: Serve as a primary HR resource for managers and employees, and maintain clear written documentation in English and Spanish.
  • Support Center & Field Support: Provide daily operational HR support from the Support Center and make periodic restaurant visits to assist management with onboarding, compliance checks, and team engagement.
  • HR Systems & Payroll Operations: Oversee day-to-day HRIS workflows, timekeeping inputs, and data integrity in partnership with Finance, using Paycom and R365.
  • Onboarding & Staffing: Coordinate store-level orientation, employment-document verification, and hiring workflows for current operations and upcoming restaurant openings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work Schedule: 100% on-site, five days per week at our DFW Support Center, with reliable transportation for occasional visits to local restaurants.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is required, including written correspondence, document translation, and verbal communication.
  • Professional Certification (Required): Current SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of practical HR experience in a multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or high-volume workforce environment.
  • Systems Familiarity: Prior experience with Paycom, Restaurant365, and/or Toast POS is strongly preferred.
