About this role
Job Summary
Senior Account Executive
Life Sciences Monitoring Systems
Location: United States / NJ
Focus: Direct end-user sales (new customer acquisition and recurring revenue growth)
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced sales professional who can open doors and win new business in
pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, contract research organizations (CROs), hospitals, healthcare
organizations and/ or the life sciences cold chain. You will represent industry leading brands and complimentary products
Continuous environmental monitoring systems directly to end-users.
The ideal candidate already sells into these markets, has established relationships with relevant decision-
makers and knows how to turn a customer's monitoring requirements into a signed hardware and cloud
subscription agreement or SaaS multi-year contract. This is an individual contributor role with clear ownership
of new business development.
What you will sell
wireless sensors and gateways with cloud software for continuous monitoring, alerts,
reporting and visibility across multiple locations. Customers use these capabilities to protect temperature-
sensitive products and samples, reduce manual monitoring and support their quality and compliance
processes.
You will offer two commercial models:
Hardware purchase plus a three-year cloud subscription, billed monthly.
A fully bundled, three-year subscription with no upfront hardware charge and monthly payments
throughout the 36-month term.
You will sell the broadest solution set in our
environmental monitoring market: chemical indicator labels; USB, Bluetooth, cellular and standalone Wi-Fi
data loggers; and full continuous environmental monitoring systems. Once you win a customer, this breadth
gives you more ways to grow the relationship through additional products, applications and facilities.
What you will do
Generate and convert opportunities through existing professional relationships, referrals, prospecting,
targeted account development and leads from our marketing and SDR teams.
Develop relationships with quality assurance, validation, laboratory operations, pharmacy, facilities, cold
chain, IT and procurement decision-makers.
Lead discovery, product demonstrations and commercial proposals, working with technical colleagues to
define the right solution and support customer evaluations.
Build business cases around protecting critical inventory, reducing manual work, improving reporting and
expanding monitoring across facilities.
Own the sales cycle from initial outreach through negotiation and signed contracts, including three-year
subscription commitments and bundled hardware offers.
Win business from competing monitoring providers and expand successful installations into additional
departments, facilities and monitoring points.
Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot), pipeline and forecasts, and deliver agreed targets for new
customers, hardware sales and recurring subscription revenue.
Coordinate a clear handover to implementation and support teams, capturing requirements and
commitments to help customers get started successfully.
Experience and qualifications
A proven record of winning direct end-user business in continuous environmental monitoring,
temperature monitoring, cold chain technology or closely related life sciences solutions.
Established relationships within one or more target markets and demonstrated success generating
opportunities through those relationships.
Experience selling a combination of hardware and cloud software, recurring subscriptions or multiyear
service contracts.
Ability to manage a sale involving technical users, quality teams, IT, procurement and economic decision-
makers.
Working knowledge of regulated customer environments, including data integrity, audit trails, calibration,
validation and GxP requirements.
Strong prospecting, demonstration, negotiation and forecasting skills, with the independence to build and
manage a territory.
Based in the United States or United Kingdom and able to travel for customer meetings, demonstrations
and relevant industry events.
Experience with a competing continuous monitoring provider is strongly preferred, particularly where you
have personally developed customer relationships and won new accounts.
What success looks like
You consistently win new end-user accounts, convert opportunities into three-year cloud agreements and
grow recurring revenue. Initial installations lead to broader adoption across customer sites, supported by
disciplined pipeline management and a reliable customer handover.
Why join us
Build initial momentum from your existing contacts and competitive conversions, then grow with a continuing
flow of company-generated leads. You will be supported by an 11-person commercial marketing team focused
on automated top-of-pipeline lead generation and 6 sales development representatives (SDRs) dedicated to
outbound cold calling. These teams feed your pipeline so you can focus on winning and expanding accounts.
Represent three established brands with a portfolio that gives you more to sell within every customer
relationship. Offer customers the choice of purchasing hardware or adopting a monthly subscription with no
upfront hardware charge, and expand sales across their monitoring needs, applications and locations.
