Job Summary

We have a position open for a Louisiana and/or Mississippi licensed attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two to ten years’ experience working in insurance defense litigation.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis.
• Draft and review a variety of legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Represent clients in litigation proceedings, administrative hearings, and negotiations with confidence and professionalism.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines efficiently within a busy law office environment.
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide timely updates to clients and team members.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in defense litigation.
• Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive documents.
• Demonstrated ability in legal drafting and negotiation with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of litigation procedures and experience representing clients in court or administrative hearings is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
