Knightscope is insourcing the Signals platform, currently operated by a third-party vendor, over the next twelve months. You will own the security testing and AI-assisted test automation function for Signals, closing a specific gap in the current vendor engagement and building the foundation the platform will run on for years to come.

About the Role
Knightscope is insourcing the Signals platform, currently operated by a third-party vendor, over the next twelve months. You will own the security testing and AI-assisted test automation function for Signals, closing a specific gap in the current vendor engagement and building the foundation the platform will run on for years to come.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own the security testing strategy for the Signals platform end to end.
- Build AI-assisted test automation frameworks for test generation, triage, and coverage analysis.
- Establish security-focused regression suites integrated into the Signals CI/CD pipeline.
- Partner with the Engineering Services Security and Compliance Engineer on SOC 2 evidence continuity.
- Serve as the internal security testing lead during vendor knowledge transfer.
- Mentor engineers across the Signals team on secure development and test practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in test engineering, including senior ownership of security testing programs.
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, IAST, and modern security testing tooling.
- Practical experience applying LLMs or ML to test generation, triage, or coverage analysis.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline integration experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication with engineering and security stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable regulated environment experience.
- Video, streaming, or IoT platform testing background.
- Prior experience inheriting a codebase from a third-party vendor.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $180,000 to $210,000 (DOE)
