Software QA Engineer

Job Description

KMS Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of modern software applications. The ideal candidate has experience in manual testing, automated testing, API validation, and software quality assurance processes.

The successful candidate will collaborate with software developers, product managers, and engineering teams to identify defects, improve testing coverage, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Analyze software requirements and prepare test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects.
• Validate REST APIs and database operations.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve software issues.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile development activities.
• Monitor application quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain test documentation and quality reports.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing and REST services.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Knowledge of Postman and API automation.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Understanding of cloud-based software environments.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
