Kids First Pediatrics is seeking a certified Nurse Practitioner with 2–5 years of pediatric experience to join our growing practice. We are looking for an efficient, dependable provider who delivers excellent care, builds relationships with families, and is motivated to support a busy pediatric practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for patients from birth through age 18 in collaboration with the supervising pediatrician.
• Perform well-child visits, sick visits, preventive screenings, and management of common pediatric conditions.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients; prescribe medications; order and interpret diagnostic studies; and coordinate specialty referrals.
• Review and address laboratory results, imaging reports, patient messages, prescription requests, and follow-up needs promptly.
• Check and manage the electronic inbasket daily, completing assigned messages and clinical tasks.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
• Collaborate with the physician, medical assistants, and front desk team to maintain efficient patient flow and appointment access.
• Support Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) procedures, including vaccine inventory accuracy and proper storage and handling.
• Participate in clinic meetings, quality improvement, and patient care policy development.
• Maintain clinical competency and stay current with pediatric care recommendations.

Patient Volume and Performance Expectations

• Minimum productivity requirement: 30 completed patient visits per full clinic day once established in the role.
• Expected daily target: 35 or more completed patient visits, supported by sufficient patient demand and clinic staffing.
• The minimum is a baseline requirement. Providers are expected to accommodate available appointments throughout scheduled clinic hours, including appropriate same-day visits.
• Maintain quality care, sound clinical judgment, timely documentation, and responsive patient follow-up while meeting productivity expectations.
• Work proactively with the clinic team to improve schedule utilization and patient flow.
• Patient-volume expectations for shorter Saturday shifts will be adjusted to scheduled clinic hours.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active Texas APRN license and appropriate prescribing credentials.
• 2–5 years of pediatric clinical experience.
• Ability to manage a busy outpatient pediatric schedule, recognize clinical concerns, and consult the supervising pediatrician appropriately.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Biligual preferred

Compensation

$50–$65 per hour base pay, plus a productivity bonus.

Compensation is negotiable based on pediatric experience, demonstrated efficiency, and expected production. We are open to discussing a production-based compensation arrangement that rewards higher completed patient volume and revenue generation.

Providers who consistently exceed baseline productivity expectations have the opportunity to earn more. Bonus eligibility will also consider quality of care and timely completion of documentation and clinical responsibilities. Productivity measures, bonus thresholds, and payment terms will be established in the compensation agreement.

Schedule and Work Setting

• Full-time: Monday through Friday, five days per week, plus every other Saturday.
• Shift: Day shift.
• Setting: In-person outpatient pediatric clinic.
• Location: 7025 Fry Rd, Suite 200, Cypress, TX 77433.
