Cost Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a growing manufacturing company in Chelmsford, MA seeking a Cost Accountant. This position will be part of an established accounting team and will have exposure to both financial and operational accounting.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing accounting experience and enjoy working with different areas of the business to analyze costs, improve reporting and support the monthly close.

Responsibilities

Support monthly accounting and close activities Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with cost and inventory accounting Analyze manufacturing costs and variances Support inventory reporting and analysis Prepare financial and operational reports Partner with accounting and operational teams Assist with maintaining accounting controls and procedures Help identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting Requirements Previous accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Cost and inventory accounting experience Solid understanding of general accounting and month-end close Experience working with ERP/accounting systems Strong Excel and analytical skills Ability to communicate effectively across different areas of an organization Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Compensation: $80K–$110K plus bonus and excellent benefits.
