Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Should understand the circuit of Melsec-Q Series, LS-Electric PLC.
• When equipment malfunctions occur, should be able to connect a laptop to check the program,

identify the issue, and modify the program.

• Should be able to develop touch programs for Melsec-Q Series, LS-Electric.
• When equipment malfunctions occur, should be able to connect a laptop to check the touch

program, identify the issue, and modify the program.

• Should be able to modify LS-Electric Servo Drive parameters.
• In case of servo malfunction, should be able to replace the servo drive and back up and transfer the

parameters.

• Should be able to replace the Touch PC in case of damage (including backup and transfer).
• Should be able to back up and restore PLC programs for each piece of equipment.

• Should understand pneumatic and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
• After setting up the equipment and during initial mass production, should be able to modify PLC

programs to ensure productivity and quality stability.

• Should be able to modify Inverter parameters (Mitsubishi, LS-Electric).
• Should be able to teach Fanuc Robot and ABB Robot.
• Should understand the interface between ABB Robot programs and PLC programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Equipment & Facility Maintenance

• Perform daily and preventive inspections (lubrication, bolt tightening, replacement of operating

fluids).

• Diagnosing and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Manage dust collectors, compressors, facilities, and spare parts.
• Implement continuous improvement and upgrades to equipment.
• Manage equipment according to accurate maintenance manuals.

2. Production Line Operation & Troubleshooting

• Operate and maintain all production lines (coating, forming, and polishing lines).
• Understand all line processes and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Provide support during equipment setup and initial mass production to ensure productivity and

quality stability.

3. Control Systems & Automation

• Understand and troubleshoot Melsec-Q Series and LS-Electric PLC circuits.
• Connect diagnostic laptops to check, identify, and modify PLC and touch programs when

malfunctions occur.

• Develop and modify touch programs for Melsec-Q Series and LS-Electric.
• Backup, restore, and modify PLC programs for all equipment (Melsec-Q, LS-Electric PLC, LS Servo

Drive).

• Modify parameters for LS-Electric Servo Drives, Mitsubishi/LS Inverters, and perform servo drive

replacement including parameter backup/transfer.

• Replace and restore Touch PCs when damaged (including data transfer).
• Understand pneumatic and hydraulic circuit diagrams.

4. Robotics & Advanced Automation

• Teach and program Fanuc and ABB Robots.
• Understand and maintain interfaces between ABB Robot programs and PLC programs.

5. Collaboration & Training

• Responding to equipment failures in collaboration with the manager.
• Participate in equipment operation training and knowledge sharing with team members.
• Prepare and manage spare tools and materials to ensure readiness for maintenance and repair

activities.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or more than 10 years of equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Maintenance tools and equipment.
• At least 5 years working experience in manufacturing plant as a maintenance related field.
• Strong work ethic with teamwork.
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
• Ability to lift 50 LBS in the plant.
• Bilingual with Korean and English.(Preferred)
