**Job Summary:**

Provides occupational therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

  • Assumes the responsibility as outlined in the Occupational Therapists job summary and responsibilities.
  • Provides department in\-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in\-service presentation).
  • Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
  • Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
  • Provides consultation to staff.
  • May act as a mentor for staff.
  • May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
  • Identifies process Improvement opportunities.
  • May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
  • May be involved in the clinical competency of COTAs and Rehab Aides.
  • May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non\-Kaiser facilities.
  • Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Experience* Minimum two (2\) years of experience as an occupational therapist required.

Education* Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree with certification in occupational therapy or foreign trained equivalent

License, Certification, Registration* Occupational Therapist License (California) required at hire

  • Basic Life Support
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire

**Additional Requirements:*** Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
