Seasonal Accountant/Tax Preparer

OVERVUE TAX is seeking experienced Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season (December 2026- May 2027).

We are seeking a professional, courteous and self-motivated individual that has experience with tax preparation and/or book-keeping. Candidates should have proven experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns. As business continues to grow and expand ONLY individuals with a strong knowledge of current tax law and knowledge should apply.

Requirements

• Accounting degree or background.
• Previous experiences that include, but is not limited to income tax preparation for personal, corporate and partnerships and/or bookkeeping.
• Valid PTIN.
• Ability to work with a team or independently.
• Excellent people skills along with verbal and written communications skills.
• Professional and efficient e-mail ability.
• Strong accuracy, organization skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers and equipment within the office (phones, scanners & printers).
• Familiarity with ProSeries, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and QuickBooks.
• Reliable and Punctual.
• Follow-through on all tasks to completion.

Minimum qualifications

High School diploma.

Minimum 5 years experience with income tax preparation and/or bookkeeping.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (Required)
• Tax Experience: 1 year (Required)
• tax preparation: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• PTIN (Required)
