About this role
About JumpOff
JumpOff is an AI advisory and transformation firm. We build working AI and the adoption to run it, for enterprises, financial sponsors and owner-led companies across sectors including financial services, private equity, industrials, automotive, distribution, consumer, healthcare and legal services. We're focused on AI initiatives with high ROI that lasts past the excitement.
We are tool-agnostic by design, Anthropic certified, and OpenAI and Microsoft AI Cloud Partners. Getting a company to the frontier is half the job. The other half is preparing it to stay there without us.
To support client demand and growth we are hiring Forward Deployed AI Engineers in Atlanta.
About the role
You build the AI systems our clients run on. You work inside the client's own systems and data, next to their teams, and take a solution from first prototype to something in production that their people use every day. You report to our AI Engineering Lead and work alongside the people who own the business side of each engagement.
Most of your time goes to building: pipelines, integrations, LLM-based workflows and the testing and monitoring around them. Some of it is with clients, working out what their data and systems can support. Some of it goes into the shared tools we carry from one engagement to the next.
What you will do
Build and deploy AI solutions in client environments: data pipelines, integrations with client systems, LLM-based workflows and agents, and the applications people use them through Work with client technical teams on access, environments and security Test model output before it reaches users, and monitor it once it is live Fix what breaks in production, and improve what you built based on how people use it Turn one-off builds into reusable components for the next engagement Document what you build so the client's team can run it Travel to client sites, up to about 30% of the time Other duties as assigned What you will learn here Shipping AI into businesses with payrolls, customers and auditors, across many industries and many technology stacks Scoping with the people who own the business outcome, so what you build is worth building Frontier tooling in depth, across vendors, with certification supported Engineering standards for production AI, from the people setting them Who you work with Strategists, builders and operators from private equity, management consulting and technology, with backgrounds at companies like Boston Consulting Group, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Meta and AbbVie.
We use frontier models every day, on client work and on our own, we move quickly, and we say what we think. You work directly with the founder. Low-ego, high-agency team players who are energized by the AI moment, thrive on delivering transformational results for our clients and navigating the rapidly expanding AI frontier from up close.
What this sets you up for Engineers who can make AI hold up in production and explain it to the people paying for it are rare, and will stay in demand. This role builds both, at the frontier and across industries. The role grows with what you show you can own.
