About this role

Location

Remote (Roswell, GA preferred; candidates must have demonstrated experience working independently in a remote environment)

Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + company bonus program

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short-term disability, pet insurance, paid family leave, fully paid maternity leave, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick/mental health days, flex holidays, company-paid fitness membership, travel stipend, paid certifications and certification bonus, weekly catered lunches, volunteer days, leadership development and continuous learning opportunities

About the Opportunity:

We are assisting a well-established and growing freight fintech company in adding a Product Owner to their team. This company operates a cloud-native platform serving freight brokers, with a suite of financial and back-office automation products including factoring, carrier payments, invoice automation, and TMS integrations.

This is a hands-on seat for someone who wants to own outcomes, not just manage tickets. The right candidate is close to the work, takes initiative, and brings structure to a team that moves fast.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the product backlog; prioritize against business value, risk, and roadmap commitments
  • Ensure every item entering refinement is well-defined, testable, and development-ready, including acceptance criteria, edge cases, and error conditions
  • Translate stakeholder intent into clear user stories, workflow documentation, and process models for payment, invoicing, billing, and audit scenarios
  • Partner with engineering, QA, and design to validate flows, scope, and sequencing before and during development
  • Lead or support sprint planning, refinement, and release planning; provide timely clarification and decisions to keep the team moving
  • Own business-level UAT; validate completed work against requirements and coordinate with QA on end-to-end test coverage
  • Participate in release readiness and go/no-go decisions; prepare release notes for internal and customer audiences
  • Communicate status, risks, and scope changes to product leadership and business stakeholders
  • Pull feedback from support, implementation, and customers back into backlog refinement

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in Logistics
  • Experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role preferred
  • Experience with payments platforms, AP/AR solutions, fintech products, or transportation/logistics technology is a strong plus
  • Hands-on Agile experience: backlog management, sprint planning, UAT, requirements definition, and SDLC
  • Strong user story and acceptance criteria writing, including for UI features
  • Comfortable reviewing wireframes, mocks, and prototypes with attention to end-to-end user experience
  • Process modeling and workflow documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of APIs and system integrations; able to hold your own in technical conversations with engineering
  • Strong communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and influence without direct authority
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment; no hand-holding; self-directed

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development assistance
  • Vision insurance
