**Summary**
As a Data Science Intern at Jewelers Mutual, you will support the Product/Analytics team in analyzing datasets to derive actionable business insights. You will work alongside data scientists and cross\-functional stakeholders to understand data needs, assist with analyses, and help translate findings into recommendations that support product and pricing decisions.
This internship, based in our Neenah, WI office for Summer 2027, offers hands\-on experience applying analytical and statistical methods to real business problems.

**What You’ll Do:**
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from JM Group and authorized third\-party sources for analysis.
- Support data scientists in analyzing datasets to identify trends and patterns relevant to product, pricing, and business performance.
- Help develop and test basic statistical models and algorithms under the guidance of senior analytics staff.
- Assist with preparing exhibits, summaries, and visualizations that communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in discussions with business stakeholders to understand goals and help formulate data\-driven approaches.
- Support monitoring of product performance metrics on Jewelers Mutual's book of business.
- Document data sources, assumptions, and methodology to support reproducibility of analyses.
- Complete additional analytical projects and tasks as assigned by the Product/Analytics team.
**What You’ll Bring:**
##### **Minimum Qualifications**
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029\.
- Basic familiarity with a programming language such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
- Coursework or exposure to statistical methods and concepts, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, or probability theory.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with an interest in translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to non\-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerPivot, SQL, Power BI, or other query/reporting tools.
- Prior coursework, project, or internship experience working with real\-world datasets.
- Familiarity with the insurance industry or interest in the P\&C insurance space.
