The Creative Designer is responsible for bringing the Irwin brand to life visually across marketing channels, campaigns, product launches, events, and customer experiences. This role translates marketing strategies, brand direction, messaging, and content into compelling creative that is consistent, engaging, and recognizable.
Working closely with the rest of the Marketing team, the Creative Designer develops visual concepts and executes creative across Irwin’s B2B, International, B2C, and Evolve initiatives. This role serves as a key visual creative resource for the organization, balancing brand consistency with the unique needs of different markets, audiences, and channels.
**Responsibilities**
**Creative Development \& Campaign Design**
- Develop creative concepts and visual solutions that bring marketing strategies, product launches, campaigns, events, and key business initiatives to life.
- Translate campaign strategies, messaging, and content into cohesive visual creative across multiple channels.
- Take creative projects from initial concept and exploration through final design and production.
- Develop fresh creative approaches while maintaining alignment with Irwin’s overall brand identity and objectives.
**Web \& Digital Design**
- Create visual assets and experiences for the Irwin website, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, paid media, and other digital platforms.
- Design graphics, banners, campaign imagery, icons, product visuals, and other digital creative.
- Adapt creative across different digital channels, formats, screen sizes, and audiences.
- Partner with Digital and other team members to ensure creative supports both the user experience and marketing objectives.
**Brand Design \& Visual Storytelling**
- Create and maintain a consistent visual identity across digital, print, environmental, presentation, and sales\-support materials.
- Translate product benefits, customer stories, brand messaging, and complex ideas into engaging and easy\-to\-understand visual stories.
- Apply established brand standards while identifying opportunities to evolve and strengthen Irwin’s visual expression.
- Ensure creative work consistently reflects the quality, personality, and positioning of the Irwin brand.
**Brand Experiences**
- Develop creative for trade shows, events, showrooms, product launches, customer presentations, and other physical and digital brand experiences.
- Create environmental graphics, signage, displays, presentation materials, and supporting visual assets as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and outside partners to ensure brand experiences are cohesive and effectively executed.
**Multi\-Market Creative Support**
- Develop creative across Irwin’s B2B, International, B2C, and EVOLVE initiatives.
- Adapt visual approaches to meet the needs of different markets, audiences, campaigns, and communication channels.
- Balance the individual needs of each initiative while maintaining a cohesive overall Irwin brand.
- Support a variety of marketing and sales initiatives based on changing business priorities.
**Cross\-Functional Collaboration**
- Partner with Content, Digital, Technical Design, Product, Sales, and other internal teams to translate business needs into effective creative solutions.
- Collaborate with the Content Manager to align visual creative with campaign messaging, content strategy, and storytelling.
- Work with Technical Design to incorporate product imagery, renderings, specifications, and technical content into marketing creative.
- Present creative concepts, communicate design rationale, and incorporate stakeholder feedback into final work.
**Creative Project Ownership**
- Manage assigned creative projects from initial concept through final production.
- Balance multiple projects, deadlines, priorities, and stakeholder needs while maintaining a high level of creative quality.
- Prepare final files and coordinate production requirements for digital, print, environmental, and other applications.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, printers, agencies, and production partners as needed.
**Creative Innovation**
- Stay current on design trends, digital experiences, emerging technology, and evolving creative practices.
- Explore AI\-enabled creative tools and other technologies that can improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of creative development.
- Identify opportunities to improve creative processes, templates, tools, and workflows.
- Bring new ideas and perspectives that help keep the Irwin brand fresh, relevant, and engaging.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing Design, or a related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand, campaign, digital, print, and visual storytelling work.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience designing across web, email, social media, digital advertising, print, presentations, and other marketing channels.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, color, imagery, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience with motion graphics, video, After Effects, AI\-enabled creative tools, or other digital design technologies is a plus.
- Strong creative thinking, visual problem\-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention\-to\-detail skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects from concept through final production while balancing priorities, deadlines, brand direction, and stakeholder feedback.
