Controller

Overview

Ironstone Vineyards is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee day to day accounting operations, collections, compliance administration, and key business processes ensuring full compliance with GAAP. We are looking for someone who is proactive and who will take ownership to establish effective systems and operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close and prepare financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Strong cash management
• Conduct, reconcile, and maintain inventories
• Review and develop policies and procedures to support sound financial decisions.
• Track and maintain business licenses, permits, insurance and compliance requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Coordinate tax filings and audits

Skills

• Five or more years of accounting experience as a Controller or Assistance Controller
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Inventory reconciliation
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
