Lanteris Space LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is hiring a Technical Program Manager-Flight Software. This role is based in Palo Alto, CA, Houston, TX, or also can be based remotely in the US.
In this role, you will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of our Flight Software (FSW) development programs. This role serves as the primary interface between the FSW engineering team and program management, ensuring seamless coordination and on-time delivery of critical spacecraft software systems.
Intuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers.
With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning & Execution
- Own and maintain the FSW development schedule, ensuring alignment with program milestones and spacecraft integration timelines
- Drive team execution according to established plans and sprint cycles as Scrum Master
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to sprint commitments
- Identify schedule risks and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies proactively
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive plan and progress data for the FSW team
- Track and report on key performance metrics, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare status reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure accurate documentation of program health, risks, and issues
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary interface for FSW with the Program Management Office (PMO) and external stakeholders
- Translate technical complexities into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences
- Coordinate cross-functional dependencies with hardware, systems engineering, and integration teams
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering teams and program leadership
Program Coordination
- Lead program reviews, status meetings, and risk assessments
- Coordinate resource allocation and identify staffing needs
- Manage dependencies across multiple teams and programs
- Drive resolution of cross-functional issues and blockers
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical program management or software program management
- Experience managing complex software development programs
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Experience with Jira
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, embedded systems, or flight software development
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MBA
- Microsoft Project
- PMP, CSM, or similar program management certification
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and integration processes
- Experience working with government customers or in regulated environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive results in cross-functional environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Data-driven decision making and analytical thinking
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
- Leadership without direct authority
- Technical credibility with engineering teams

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions.
Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
- The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $145,000.00 - $241,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within California is: $151,000.00 - $251,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
