A Day in the Life

---------------------

  • Engineer complex machinery: Develop, refine, and optimize designs for heavy equipment, conveyors, and specialized lifting systems.
  • Model and analyze: Produce precise 2D layouts and sophisticated 3D CAD models; perform FEA to validate structural performance and stress.
  • Specify critical components: Select gearboxes, high-torque drivetrains, motors, and structural weldments for reliable operation.
  • Get into the field: Conduct site assessments with occasional domestic travel to scope projects, troubleshoot equipment, and validate fit/function.
  • Ensure build quality: Apply tight tolerances, correct fits/finishes, and drafting standards for manufacturing-ready drawings.
  • Collaborate to deliver: Partner with internal engineering, production, and external customer stakeholders to meet specs, timelines, and budgets.

  • Software: Proficiency with modern CAD (SolidWorks, CREO, or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office.
  • Engineering depth: Understanding of FEA tools, welding design, analysis methods, and advanced drafting/detailing.
