**About IntegraTouch**
Founded in 2002, IntegraTouch helps commercial and defense organizations solve demanding technology challenges through software engineering, technology consulting, and specialized talent. We bring people and technology together to strengthen operations, create new capabilities, and turn ambitious objectives into practical results.
This opportunity brings that commitment to life: advancing the radio communications systems people rely on when coordination, reliability, and timely decisions matter most. IntegraTouch is seeking a Senior DSP and Embedded Software Engineer whose expertise, curiosity, and leadership can help shape the next generation of defense communications.
By connecting algorithm design, embedded software, and real hardware, you will help turn every signal, processing cycle, and available connection into stronger, more dependable capabilities for the people carrying out critical missions.
**What you will help build**
- Communications waveforms and real time DSP software that advance radio capabilities.
- Efficient embedded C/C\+\+ implementations that balance throughput, latency, memory, and numerical precision.
- Simulation and analysis workflows that connect algorithm behavior to performance on target hardware.
- Reliable interfaces between software, processors, RF hardware, and FPGA implementations.
- Automated tests and repeatable validation methods that help teams identify issues earlier and improve engineering confidence.
- Maintainable software architectures that support continued enhancement of communications products.
**How you will lead**
- Guide technical planning and development from requirements through integration and testing.
- Translate customer needs into engineering decisions that balance performance, schedule, and cost.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, RF, FPGA, manufacturing, and test teams.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help resolve technical obstacles.
- Strengthen Agile Scrum and DevOps practices through thoughtful improvements to development and testing.
**Your technical foundation**
Bring strong experience in embedded C/C\+\+, DSP algorithm development, and digital communications, supported by the ability to lead engineering work from requirements through integration and testing.
Relevant expertise includes:
- Software defined radio (SDR), waveform development, and digital transmitter or receiver processing.
- Modulation and demodulation, synchronization, carrier recovery, and channel estimation.
- Digital filtering, FFTs, spectral analysis, and multirate processing.
- Equalization, error correction, and communications performance analysis.
- Fixed point optimization, multicore processing, multithreading, and real time operating systems.
- Hardware and software debugging, FPGA collaboration, and performance optimization.
**A modern engineering toolkit**
We value engineers who select tools thoughtfully and can connect experimentation with dependable production software.
- C and modern C\+\+ for embedded implementation and performance critical processing.
- Python, NumPy, and SciPy for algorithm exploration, signal analysis, reference models, and automated testing.
- MATLAB experience for modeling, simulation, and validation, with Simulink experience also valued.
- Rust as a complementary skill for memory safety and interoperability with existing C/C\+\+ systems.
- GNU Radio and SDR development platforms for relevant prototyping and experimentation.
- Git, code review, continuous integration, automated builds, and hardware in the loop testing.
- Embedded Linux, real time operating systems, and processor architectures used in demanding communications applications.
**Additional perspectives we welcome**
Beyond the core DSP requirements, we are interested in engineers who understand emerging approaches and can assess where they offer practical value:
- AI and machine learning applied to signal classification, interference detection, test data analysis, or engineering optimization.
- Familiarity with PyTorch or comparable frameworks for evaluating signal processing research concepts.
- Software defined networking (SDN), programmable network behavior, quality of service, and traffic prioritization where they intersect with radio communications.
- Adaptive and cognitive radio concepts, spectrum awareness, and techniques for operating effectively under changing channel conditions.
- Experience evaluating how experimental approaches can meet the timing, reliability, and resource constraints of embedded systems.
**Experience and education**
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with at least 9 years of relevant experience developing real time embedded software in C or C\+\+; or
- Graduate degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience; or
- At least 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
**Location and requirements**
- Onsite in Rochester, New York.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position under applicable government contract requirements.
**Why bring your expertise to IntegraTouch? **
Help solve a problem worth your experience. Influence the engineering decisions behind evolving communications capabilities. Share your knowledge with a multidisciplinary team and see your ideas progress from analysis to code to working hardware.
We are looking for someone who is excited by what better communications can make possible, and ready to contribute to building it.
Apply with your resume. We would welcome a conversation about the engineering challenges you have solved and what you want to contribute next.
