Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing operations, IT/OT systems, instrumentation, data platforms, and analytics. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing cross-functional projects involving manufacturing technology, data integration, and regulated life sciences environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead IT/OT and technology initiatives within a biopharma manufacturing environment.
• Manage projects involving manufacturing systems, instrumentation, data collection, integration, and analytics.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Data, and business teams to define scope, requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate initiatives involving laboratory and manufacturing instrumentation.
• Support projects involving liquid handlers, biobank technologies, Empower, and related manufacturing/laboratory systems.
• Manage manufacturing data initiatives involving collection, integration, storage, and visualization.
• Drive project plans, governance, RAID management, status reporting, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project backlogs and delivery using Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
• Ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives, technical requirements, and regulated-environment expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience managing IT projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biopharma manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with IT/OT systems and manufacturing technology.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing or laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience managing projects involving data collection, integration, analytics, or visualization.
• Familiarity with technologies such as:
• Databricks
• Data lakes
• Power BI
• Spotfire
• Tableau
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools including:
• Jira
• Confluence
• Microsoft 365
• Strong project planning, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects involving technical, manufacturing, and business teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, NY 3–4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Empower.
• Experience with liquid handlers, biobank systems, or laboratory automation technologies.
• Experience managing manufacturing data or analytics initiatives.
• Strong understanding of regulated biopharma or life sciences environments.
• Experience working across both Agile and traditional project delivery models.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be a senior-level Project Manager who is comfortable working across manufacturing operations, IT/OT, laboratory technology, data engineering, and analytics.

This is not a general IT Project Manager role. Candidates should have direct experience leading technology initiatives within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments.

Contract Requirements

This position is available on a C2C or 1099 basis only. W2 employment is not available.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
