Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI Engineer to help design, build, deploy, and scale AI solutions across our organization. Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, this individual will play a critical role in shaping the company's AI capabilities by developing production-grade AI systems, intelligent automation solutions, and scalable AI infrastructure.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys building from the ground up and wants to have a direct impact on how AI is leveraged throughout a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience building and deploying AI-powered applications in production environments.

You will work closely with leadership, business stakeholders, and the existing Data & Analytics team to transform AI opportunities into real-world solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate workflows, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI applications and services.
• Build AI-powered solutions that automate workflows, improve productivity, and reduce manual processes.
• Develop and support AI agents, LLM-powered applications, retrieval systems, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing business systems and operational processes.
• Evaluate and implement leading AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.

Infrastructure & Delivery

• Design and maintain scalable AI infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure reliability, performance, security, and observability of AI systems in production.
• Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services that support AI applications.
• Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to leverage internal data sources for AI-driven solutions.
• Ownership of AI application lifecycle from development through production support.

AI Adoption & Business Partnership

• Partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges and identify AI use cases.
• Work directly with stakeholders to customize AI solutions for various teams across the organization.
• Drive AI adoption through practical solutions that produce measurable business impact.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance regarding emerging AI technologies and implementation strategies.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building, deploying, and maintaining production AI systems.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications using modern LLM technologies.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Experience deploying AI solutions into production environments.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, and scalable backend services.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms, and modern development practices.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.

Preferred

• Experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, RAG systems, or intelligent automation solutions.
• Financial services, lending, real estate, fintech, or regulated industry experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with vector databases, model orchestration frameworks, and AI infrastructure tooling.
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
