Job Summary Innova Software Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Python Fullstack Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Python, React, TypeScript, AWS, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.

The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, secure, high-performance applications in retail or eCommerce environments, preferably within product-based technology organizations.

This position requires a combination of hands-on engineering, technical architecture, distributed systems expertise, and the ability to guide full-stack development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development and Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design principles, service boundaries, and loosely coupled architecture.
• Define high-level and low-level technical designs, API contracts, service interactions, and integration standards.
• Build REST and gRPC APIs with appropriate authentication, authorization, versioning, and rate limiting.
• Implement asynchronous processing, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Apply distributed systems patterns including Saga, CQRS, Outbox, Circuit Breaker, Retry/Backoff, and Bulkhead.

Frontend Engineering

• Develop and guide frontend solutions using React and TypeScript.
• Define reusable component architecture and frontend engineering standards.
• Implement React hooks and state management solutions such as Redux and React Query.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend microservices using REST, GraphQL, and Backend-for-Frontend patterns.
• Optimize application performance, maintainability, and user experience.
• Support frontend testing and code quality practices.

AWS and Cloud-Native Architecture

• Design and implement scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS.
• Work with containerized applications, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
• Implement event-driven architectures using AWS EventBridge, SNS, SQS, or Kinesis.
• Design reliable messaging workflows covering retries, dead-letter queues, duplicate handling, replay, and eventual consistency.
• Apply cloud security practices using IAM, RBAC, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, encryption, and secrets management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational resilience practices.

Database and Distributed Systems

• Design and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Work with NoSQL technologies including DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or equivalent platforms.
• Develop scalable data access and caching strategies.
• Design systems supporting high transaction volumes and reliable distributed processing.
• Support database performance optimization and data consistency requirements.

Retail and eCommerce Engineering

• Develop and integrate enterprise retail and eCommerce applications.
• Support high-volume transaction processing and scalable product experiences.
• Integrate composable commerce components, including headless CMS and headless search.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate retail requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to secure, scalable, and resilient commerce platform architecture.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance to full-stack engineering teams.
• Review architecture, code quality, system design, and implementation approaches.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks and recommend improvements.
• Support production readiness, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in full-stack software engineering and technical leadership.
• Hands-on Python 3.x development experience using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Strong hands-on React and TypeScript experience.
• Practical AWS experience covering cloud architecture, compute, APIs, messaging, databases, networking, and security.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka or cloud-native messaging services.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of application security, scalability, resilience, and production operations.
• Experience delivering applications in retail, eCommerce, or closely related product engineering environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with established retail or eCommerce product organizations.
• Knowledge of composable commerce architecture.
• Experience integrating headless CMS and headless search.
• Experience with high-volume transaction processing and multi-region architectures.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience implementing distributed caching and advanced resilience patterns.
