About This Opportunity
InComm Payments provides prepaid prize redemption products to the Coin Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) market. Our card products give location owners and players a secure, compliant way to redeem winnings at licensed locations. Georgia is our largest Distributed Gaming market, and continued growth there and in additional states depends on our ability to verify and onboard licensed locations and partner entities at scale.
This role is based from the Columbus, GA office and it will be responsible for the due diligence and onboarding operations behind the Distributed Gaming footprint. You will own the configuration of our identity verification platform, adjudicate the exceptions it routes for manual review, and manage verification of both licensed locations and the broker entities that place machines in them.
The program processes roughly 7,000 to 10,600 verification events in its first year, the large majority of them cleared automatically, which makes the quality of your configuration and your judgment on the exceptions the two things that determine whether the program works.
The Compliance Analyst II reports to the Risk and Sanctions Manager, and partners closely with Product Management, Legal, Account Management, IT, and our distributor and Master License Holder (MLH) partners to move locations from application to first activation and to keep the licensed footprint in good standing.
Scope
- Location flow: approximately 4,500 existing Georgia location records requiring re-verification, 2,000 to 4,000 net new locations over the first twelve months, and 1,000 to 2,000 annual renewals. Checks cover business verification, sanctions and watchlist screening, and adverse media, with light identity verification on the license holder filing the application. This flow is high volume and automated-first, and the analyst works the exceptions.
- Partner flow: 20+ current broker entities, with five or more accompanying each additional state. Checks cover full business verification, beneficial ownership identity verification, sanctions screening, adverse media, and an associated persons review reconciled against the submitted application. This flow is low volume and manually adjudicated in nearly every case.
- State gaming license documentation serves as proof of address in both flows and is cross-checked against verified business registry data.
Responsibilities
Platform Configuration and Decisioning
- Own template and flow configuration for both the location and partner inquiry types, including field mapping, document requirements, and conditional logic.
- Define and tune automated decisioning rules across auto-approve, auto-decline, and route-to-review thresholds, and document the rationale for each. Own the tradeoff between the share of applications cleared without review and the risk of clearing a file that warranted examination.
- Configure license document capture and the address cross-check against business registry data, including tolerance rules for suite and unit variance and for differences between operating and legal addresses.
- Maintain the associated persons comparison logic and define the ownership delta that triggers escalation.
Case Adjudication
- Work the manual review queue daily and meet defined service levels on aging.
- Adjudicate adverse media findings against written criteria, distinguishing material findings from name collisions and non-derogatory coverage, and document the basis for every decision to clear or escalate. This is the highest-judgment work in the role.
- Resolve tax identification mismatches, business registry verification failures, and potential sanctions matches, escalating confirmed matches immediately in accordance with policy.
- Complete full beneficial ownership review on all broker and distributor files, including associated persons reconciliation and ownership structure mapping.
- Maintain an audit-ready record for every decision, including evidence reviewed, criteria applied, approver, and date.
Record Re-verification
- Scope, sequence, and execute re-verification of the existing Georgia location record set.
- Pre-clean records before submission by resolving duplicate business names, normalizing addresses, and validating tax identification data, in order to hold down avoidable exception volume and per-inquiry cost.
- Cohort the population so that exception patterns are identified early rather than after the full spend has been committed.
- Report remediation outcomes on records that fail re-verification, including recommended offboarding where warranted.
Integration and Workflow
- Own the integration between the verification platform and HubSpot, including field mapping, status write-back, and record accuracy.
- Build and maintain communication workflows for document requests, expiring licenses, renewal prompts, and declined applications.
- Maintain the renewal calendar so that annual re-verification is completed on schedule rather than as a year-end backlog.
Reporting
- Own the weekly verification scorecard covering clearance rate, queue volume and aging, decision turnaround, adverse media hit and false-positive rates, exceptions by category, and cost per verification.
- Report cost per verification against contracted rates and flag drift.
- Surface exception patterns concentrated in the submissions of a single partner or territory.
Multi-State Expansion
- Build the Georgia implementation as the reference build, with state-specific elements isolated as configuration rather than hardcoded: the state registry source, the license document template, and the license status gate.
- Document the state entry playbook, distinguishing what must be rebuilt per state from what carries over, and validate it against one additional jurisdiction.
- Lead configuration, testing, and launch of verification for each new Distributed Gaming market.
Work Schedule and Travel
- This role is based from the Columbus, GA office.
- The role follows standard business hours, with additional availability required during the initial record re-verification effort and during each new market launch.
- Occasional travel may be required to support partner onboarding sessions, regulator meetings, and new state launches.
- Infrequent and occasional on-site coordination with the Georgia Lottery Corporation, Master License Holders, and distributor partners may be needed.
- Other duties as assigned to support wider compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Four or more years of experience in business verification, know your customer and know your business operations, anti-money laundering review, or sanctions screening. This is the core requirement; gaming experience is not.
- Hands-on experience working within identity verification platforms such as Persona, Alloy, Middesk, Unit21, or ComplyAdvantage, including flow design rather than queue work alone.
- Demonstrated experience adjudicating sanctions, regulatory, law enforcement and adverse media findings against documented criteria.
- Experience analyzing beneficial ownership, including layered and multi-entity ownership structures.
- Experience remediating data sets of one thousand records or more, with advanced proficiency in Excel or Sheets and comfort with reconciliation and data quality review.
- Working proficiency with workflow tools such as HubSpot, or equivalent platforms, including the ability to build and maintain CRM dashboards without engineering support.
- Clear and consistent written documentation, as the output of this role is subject to audit.
- Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through on open items.
Preferred
- Familiarity with the Georgia COAM regulatory framework, including Georgia Lottery Corporation licensing and the distinctions among location, master, and distributor license types.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent certification, or commitment to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Multi-jurisdiction regulated-industry onboarding experience.
- Experience establishing a verification or compliance program in a new jurisdiction.
- Working knowledge of SQL or a business intelligence platform such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience creating reports, presentations, and client and internal stakeholders communications.
- Experience in payments, prepaid, gaming, amusement, or convenience retail.
