ABOUT THE ROLE

Incept Data Solutions is seeking a self-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to support a major North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services modernization project built on Salesforce. The system supports how North Carolina families access human services, and your testing will help ensure it works reliably for the caseworkers and families who depend on it.

You'll own testing activities from requirements through release: designing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, validating integrations and data, and driving defects to resolution. This role suits someone who takes initiative, works independently, and communicates issues clearly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria for testability and coverage
• Write and execute test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data with full requirements traceability
• Build and run automated tests using Tricentis Tosca and/or Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), managed in qTest
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing
• Test Salesforce standard and custom functionality: objects, fields, flows, validation rules, security (roles, profiles, permission sets), reports, and dashboards
• Validate integrations, APIs (REST/SOAP), data exchanges, and data migrations for accuracy and integrity
• Log and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, severity, and evidence; retest fixes and run regression
• Support pre- and post-deployment release validation
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and report testing status, risks, and blockers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years creating and executing test cases, scenarios, and scripts
• 5+ years of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, system, and UAT testing
• 5+ years using Jira or similar defect tracking and test management tools
• 5+ years working in Agile/Scrum QA environments
• 2+ years of hands-on automation with Tricentis Tosca or Copado Robotic Testing (CRT)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
• Must live in or near Raleigh, NC and be able to work on-site

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years testing Salesforce applications
• 3+ years writing SOQL and SQL for data validation
• 3+ years of API testing with REST and SOAP web services
• 3+ years of Salesforce data migration and data integrity testing
• Child welfare or human services domain experience
• Experience with qTest, or with NC FAST or other public-sector systems
