Registered Nurse (RN)-PRN for Home Health

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Home Health Agency. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong background in various nursing specialties and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

It is PRN now but can lead into a full time position.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and teach and train to patient and family.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, medication administration, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those requiring hospice & palliative medicine or acute pain management.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and community policies.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively and timely for patient records management.
• Ensure infection control practices are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and wellness.
• Travel to patients' homes in the Hernando County area.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Proficiency in using Kinnser (Wellsky )EMR systems is required.
• Active Florida RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year experience in home health care
• Reliable transportation and active drivers license
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be energetic, self directed, and passionate about patient care

Pay: $64.00 - $65.00 per hour
