Job description

About this role

IBT is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to build, lead, and execute the company's marketing strategy as we expand our fiber broadband operations across multiple U.S. markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on marketing leader with experience in the ISP, telecommunications, fiber broadband, or cable industry who understands how to successfully launch new markets, generate subscriber demand, and build scalable marketing programs.

The Marketing Director will oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies, brand positioning, customer acquisition, market launches, digital marketing, and customer retention initiatives. The individual will work closely with executive leadership, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments to support IBT's growth objectives.

The position is open to qualified candidates nationwide. Florida residency is not required; however, the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel extensively to support operations and marketing initiatives across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives and expansion plans.
  • Build and lead IBT's marketing function, including internal staff, contractors, and external agencies.
  • Establish consistent brand positioning, messaging, and marketing standards across all markets.
  • Develop annual marketing plans and market-specific strategies aligned with construction schedules, service availability, and revenue targets.
  • Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, agencies, and campaign performance.

Market Development & Customer Acquisition

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to support the launch of fiber broadband services in new geographic markets.
  • Create pre-registration and demand-generation campaigns to build subscriber interest ahead of service availability.
  • Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, paid search, social media, direct mail, local media, outdoor advertising, and community events.
  • Develop strategies to increase market penetration, subscriber acquisition, and conversion rates.
  • Support business-to-business marketing initiatives targeting businesses, property managers, HOAs, developers, and municipalities.
  • Work closely with Sales and field teams to develop marketing materials, lead-generation programs, and sales support initiatives.

Brand, Digital Marketing & Customer Experience

  • Oversee the company's website, digital presence, social media, content development, and online advertising.
  • Manage CRM systems, marketing automation, lead tracking, and campaign analytics.
  • Develop customer engagement, onboarding, retention, referral, and win-back programs.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, online reviews, and market feedback.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation and messaging across all markets.

Analytics, Reporting & Performance

  • Establish measurable marketing objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor customer acquisition costs, campaign ROI, conversion rates, subscriber growth, and retention.
  • Develop reporting systems and dashboards to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency, market penetration, and overall results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Experience within the ISP, fiber broadband, telecommunications, cable, or related subscription-based industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies for a growing telecommunications or broadband provider.
  • Proven experience launching products or services in new geographic markets.
  • Strong background in customer acquisition, demand generation, digital marketing, and customer retention.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, advertising agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring campaign performance, ROI, customer acquisition costs, and conversion rates.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) marketing and market-launch experience.
  • Experience with pre-registration campaigns and subscriber demand aggregation.
  • Experience supporting broadband expansion into rural or underserved markets.
  • Experience marketing to residential, commercial, and multi-dwelling property customers.
  • Familiarity with FCC Broadband Consumer Labels, TCPA, and applicable advertising and consumer protection regulations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Travel Requirements

Extensive travel is an essential requirement of this position. The Marketing Director must be willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight stays, to support IBT's projects, market launches, and operations across multiple states.

Candidates must be comfortable working across different geographic markets and coordinating initiatives with local teams, contractors, agencies, and business partners.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on marketing leader who can translate business growth objectives into effective marketing programs and measurable results.

The ideal candidate understands the telecommunications and broadband landscape, knows how to build subscriber demand in new markets, and has the leadership and execution skills necessary to develop a scalable marketing operation as the company expands.
