About this role
We’re looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented Amazon Supply Chain Analyst to support and optimize the day-to-day operations of our Amazon channel.
This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records, reconciling discrepancies across the Amazon network, coordinating with our contract manufacturers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders, and ensuring that Amazon-related claims, disputes, and reimbursements are properly identified, documented, and resolved.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys investigating discrepancies, finding root causes, following issues through to resolution, and building processes that prevent problems from recurring.
Key Responsibilities
Amazon Inventory Management: Monitor inventory availability and movement across Amazon’s global fulfillment network, including inbound shipments, transfers, returns, removals, and inventory adjustments.
Production & Shipment Coordination
Work directly with contract manufacturers, freight partners, and global 3PLs to coordinate production, shipment readiness, and deliveries into Amazon warehouses.
Inventory Reconciliation
Reconcile Amazon inventory and shipment data against internal records, purchase orders, manufacturer records, and 3PL data to ensure inventory accuracy.
Discrepancy Management
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between expected and actual quantities shipped, received, transferred, or sold, including missing, short, damaged, or misrouted inventory.
Root Cause Analysis
Investigate recurring inventory and operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.
Shipment & Receiving Accuracy
Ensure purchase orders, production quantities, shipment quantities, tracking information, and Amazon receiving records are aligned and accurately documented.
Amazon Claims & Reimbursements
Proactively review Amazon data to identify potential reimbursement opportunities and file, manage, and follow through on claims for lost, damaged, missing, or incorrectly received inventory.
Claims Resolution
Track claims and disputes through resolution, investigate rejected or underpaid claims, and escalate or resubmit claims as needed to maximize recoveries.
Financial Reconciliation
Reconcile Amazon reimbursements and inventory adjustments against expected amounts and partner with Finance to ensure accurate financial records.
Operational Reporting
Analyze Amazon and internal operational data to identify trends, risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved performance.
Data & Dashboard Management
Build and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, trackers, and reporting for inventory, shipments, claims, reimbursements, and key operational KPIs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to resolve issues and translate data findings into clear actions.
New Product & Supply Planning Support
Support new product launches, promotions, production changes, and supply planning activities from an Amazon operations perspective.
Process & SOP Improvement
Develop, document, and continuously improve processes and SOPs for Amazon inventory management, reconciliation, claims, disputes, and reimbursements.
Documentation & Accountability
Maintain accurate records and audit trails for inventory, shipments, discrepancies, claims, reimbursements, and resolutions, ensuring issues are actively tracked through closure.
