Compensation:
$135,000 - $325,000 Base + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

The firm is seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
to join its
Compute Platforms team
, responsible for developing the foundational infrastructure that supports compute, workflow orchestration, messaging, AI, and observability capabilities across the organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity to design and build large-scale distributed systems while partnering closely with research and engineering teams on business-critical platforms.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable compute, workflow, messaging, AI, and observability platforms
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Lead architecture discussions and drive technical decisions for large-scale distributed systems
- Build cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and related technologies
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment processes
- Perform code reviews and mentor team members on engineering best practices
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations for critical platform services
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with Python or another object-oriented language
- 4+ years designing and architecting large-scale production systems
- 3+ years building distributed, high-performance applications
- 3+ years developing cloud-native solutions on AWS or similar public cloud platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments
- Strong CI/CD, DevOps, Git, and GitLab experience
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, operating systems, and system design
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple engineering teams
Preferred Background
- Experience within financial services, asset management, or quantitative trading environments
- Exposure to high-performance computing, workflow orchestration, messaging systems, or platform engineering
- Passion for building resilient, scalable, and business-critical infrastructure
