Summary:

The IS Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters.

IS Technical Specialist –

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement customer-facing digital applications for Huntington's commercial customers.
  • Build complex technology solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture roadmap using React, Angular, and Java.
  • Develop modern web user interfaces using React and Angular.
  • Build Commercial Digital web portal solutions using React, Angular, Java, and REST APIs.
  • Develop application code and unit tests using React, Angular, REST web services, and Java.
  • Build reusable code and libraries.
  • Translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into application code.
  • Review code and participate in architecture and design of Rich Internet Application solutions.
  • Diagnose complex production/technical problems involving performance, availability, integrations, databases, middleware, and networks.
  • Maintain design documentation, development standards/guidelines, onboarding procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Designing APIs to decouple UI integration with Bigtable using Kafka queues and GCP Pub/Sub, and establishing Azure and Jenkins pipelines for frontend and API code.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of application development experience
  • Experience with:

+ Angular

+ React

+ Java / JavaScript

+ Spring Boot

+ Microservices

+ SOAP and/or REST services

+ GCP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in multi-platform environment
  • Ability to balance both development and support roles
  • Experience in working on projects that involve business segments
  • Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups
