About this role

Account Manager - Northeast Personal Care

Build Your Career in the Personal Care Ingredients Industry

We believe sustainable growth is built through strong partnerships, technical expertise, and a long-term perspective. Working alongside experienced commercial, technical, regulatory, and marketing professionals, you'll help innovative Personal Care manufacturers bring new products to market and solve complex formulation challenges.

We are seeking an ambitious, customer-focused Account Manager to join our Personal Care team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 2+ years of customer-facing commercial experience who is looking to accelerate their career in specialty ingredient sales.

You will manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, established customer relationships, work alongside experienced industry professionals, and gain exposure to leading Personal Care manufacturers, formulators, and brands. If you enjoy building relationships, solving customer challenges, and identifying opportunities for growth, this role offers an exceptional platform for long-term career development.

Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing customer relationships within an assigned Northeast territory. This role serves as the primary commercial contact for assigned customers and partners closely with them to identify opportunities, support new product development initiatives, and drive profitable sales growth.

Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, commercial curiosity, a consultative mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams.

The successful candidate will spend significant time engaging with customers, understanding their business challenges, and connecting them with the technical resources and ingredient solutions needed to succeed.

  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand customer challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Achieve territory sales, growth, and profitability objectives.

Partner with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Collaborate with Technical Service, Regulatory, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support customer needs.
  • Coordinate resources needed to advance customer projects and resolve technical or commercial challenges.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal subject matter experts.

Market and Industry Engagement

  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, technical seminars, and customer events.
  • Share customer feedback and marketplace insights with internal stakeholders.
