Staff Tax Accountant (Public Accounting)

Houlette & Garland, LLP, is a public accounting firm located in Canyon, TX. We have been providing quality professional services since 1991. We are a conservative, family-oriented business with small town values, and we believe that the quality of our work exceeds that of the large accounting firms.

Our office currently has two partners and four full time staff accountants. We have an extensive client base with more than half of our clients being located outside of Canyon. We offer tax preparation; tax planning; financial services; payroll services; bookkeeping; and other professional services.

We are seeking to fill a permanent full time staff accountant position.

Not required but would be a plus:

· Tax return preparation experience at a public accounting firm

· Experience with Quickbooks

We require overtime during tax season and each employee will accumulate between 100-150 hours overtime. The overtime is "banked" and we strongly encourage that all of the overtime be taken off after tax season and before year-end. This time off is in addition to three weeks paid time off plus holidays.

Flexible hours during tax season. We require a certain number of hours and our employees have the flexibility to fit those hours within their schedule for the week.

Salary range will be competitive based on experience.
