About this role

Job Title: Digital Marketing Designer

Location: Remote in U.S. (working EST) or Hybrid in New Providence, NJ

Connecting People Through Creativity ----------------------------------------

At Horizon Group USA, we believe in the power of creativity to spark imagination, encourage exploration, and inspire self-expression. With craft industry roots dating back to 1912, we create trend-driven DIY and educational activity kits that make creativity accessible to all. Our focus on curiosity, individuality, and connection shapes everything we do.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Digital Marketing Designer to help bring our products and brands to life across our growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) Shopify website and digital retail channels. You’ll create engaging website graphics, creative email, and e-commerce content that help makers, families, and fans discover their next creative experience.

What You’ll

Create

----------------------

  • Design and update creative assets for the DTC Shopify website, including homepage and promotional banners, landing pages, collection pages, product page graphics, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Prepare accurate, responsive-ready assets using supplied Shopify theme requirements, image dimensions, file formats, and mobile/desktop design specifications.
  • Create email marketing graphics, promotional layouts, and campaign assets in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Develop digital commerce creative for retail partners, including Amazon A+ Content, Amazon Brand Stores, Walmart Brand Shops, product listing images, and advertising banners as needed.
  • Adapt approved brand and licensed-property guidelines across digital assets, ensuring accuracy in product details, copy, and visual execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, content, and web development partners to deliver organized, production-ready files and implement feedback.
  • Review published assets for visual consistency, correct sizing, readability, and quality across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Support occasional presentations, social, and other marketing design projects as priorities require.

What You’ll Bring

---------------------

  • 1–2 years of relevant digital design experience preferred. Candidates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply, including recent graduates and those with internship, freelance, or professional experience creating digital commerce assets.
  • Portfolio demonstrating hands-on digital commerce design for an online store, DTC website, or retail platform such as Amazon or Walmart. Academic, internship, freelance, and professional projects are welcome.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Design Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator; strong skills in typography, composition, image editing, and digital layout.
  • Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully, where appropriate, to support concept exploration, image editing, and asset variations, while reviewing outputs for product accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Ability to follow design specifications, export optimized files, manage multiple deadlines, and incorporate constructive feedback.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Bonus Points

----------------

  • Experience designing within Shopify themes and familiarity with Shopify image sizing, responsive layouts, and asset specifications.
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp and email marketing design best practices.
  • Amazon design experience, particularly A+ Content, Brand Stores, and product detail page creative.
  • Experience with Walmart.com content, consumer products, or licensed brands.

Why Your

Work Matters -------------------------

Your designs will help make creativity more discoverable and accessible—building welcoming digital shopping experiences that celebrate imagination, hands-on exploration, and what makes every creator unique.

*Open to remote candidates based anywhere in the U.S., excluding: Alabama, California, Ohio, Kentucky, Louisiana, and West Virginia. Must be willing and able to work a full Eastern Standard Time schedule.*
