Advertising Sales Representative

$37,000 base salary plus commission

The Hood County News is looking for an advertising sales representative to build relationships with local businesses and help them reach customers through our newspaper, magazines and digital products.

You’ll work with existing advertisers, develop new business and help customers choose advertising options that meet their goals.

What you’ll do

• Build relationships with businesses throughout Hood County.
• Find and follow up on new advertising opportunities.
• Help customers plan and schedule advertising campaigns.
• Coordinate orders, materials and deadlines with our team.
• Keep accurate customer and sales records.

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort meeting with business owners and following up with customers.
• An organized, self-motivated approach to managing multiple accounts.
• A willingness to learn our products and the local market.

The position includes commission on collected advertising revenue, mileage reimbursement, and a phone and internet allowance.
