Per-Diem On Call Hospice RN

Homeside Hospice, a nurse owned and operated hospice, is looking for a highly motivated, compassionate and reliable candidate for a Per Diem On Call RN, for Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Must have a current and valid license to practice professional nursing in the state of NJ. Preference of at least two (2) years of work experience as a Hospice nurse.

On-Call Hours:

• Weekdays: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, Monday - Thursday
• Weekends: 4:00 PM Friday - 8:00 AM Monday

Responsible for but not limited to:

• After hours triage, admissions, pronouncements and emergency visits.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable and able to respond promptly to on-call requests
• Responsible for teaching, supervising and counseling the patient, family members, and staff regarding nursing care and the patient’s needs, including other related problems of the patient.
• Treatment of any wounds
• Accurate documentation of all assessments

Must be willing to travel multiple counties in NJ, will be compensated for paid tolls.
