Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated automation engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and scripts across the full solution stack, including UI, application layer, REST APIs, and web services.
You will work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product managers in an Agile environment to ensure comprehensive test coverage and the highest standards of software quality. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium with Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG, following the Page Object Model design pattern
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo and GitHub, and manage source code using Stash (Bitbucket)
- Execute automated tests across multiple browsers using Selenium Grid for parallel test execution
- Build and implement SQL queries to validate databases using automation tools
- Develop feature files using Gherkin language for Behavior\-Driven Development (BDD)
- Participate in test planning, test case design, defect reporting, and root cause analysis using JIRA
- Identify, document, and report bugs clearly and concisely, and validate bug fixes upon resolution
- Document, communicate, and escalate test results and defects to appropriate stakeholders
- Provide accurate estimates for test strategy, design, and execution activities
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Enterprise Test Automation Frameworks as needed
- Coordinate activities between US\-based and remote testing teams as required
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage
- Apply critical thinking to translate complex application flows into well\-structured, comprehensive test cases
- Perform cloud and mobile automation testing as needed
Skills:
- Strong hands\-on experience with Selenium Java, Rest Assured, and related web UI automation tools
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and SQL for automating tests across the full solution stack
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools including JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman
- Familiarity with REST and JSON APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration using Bamboo and GitHub
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments
- Experience with cloud testing and mobile automation testing
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud\-based web application architecture and AWS Cloud deployment technologies
- Experience using Selenium Grid for parallel test execution across multiple browsers
- Knowledge of Extent Reports 2\.0 and relevant IDEs for developing automation scripts
- Understanding of concurrency, threading, algorithms, and data structures
- Front\-end UI knowledge including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong debugging, problem\-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Data\-driven mindset with the ability to support theories and solutions using underlying data
Experience:
- Proven experience in test automation development using industry\-standard frameworks and tools
- Demonstrated experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with BDD frameworks and writing feature files using Gherkin language
- Experience performing cloud\-based and mobile automation testing
- Experience coordinating testing activities across distributed or remote teams
- Background in defect management, root cause analysis, and test reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
- AWS certification or demonstrated knowledge of AWS Cloud services is preferred
