Controller Multi-Department Commercial Operations

Salary: $105,000 – $125,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing, multi-department commercial business. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing accounting operations, and providing financial guidance to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive accounting experience, and the ability to manage financial operations in a fast-paced, multi-revenue business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounting staff.
• Monitor financial performance, expenses, inventory costs, and profitability.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure financial compliance.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, cash management, and purchasing controls.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and financial professionals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• At least 3 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership position.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience managing financial operations of a multimillion-dollar business; $20 million or more in annual revenue preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, commercial operations, or other high-volume business environments preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass required background and pre-employment screenings.
• Occasional travel and flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.

Compensation: $105,000 – $125,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
