About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Occupational Therapist (Float) to join our Pediatric Rehab team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Provide direct patient care across multiple outpatient rehabilitation sites within the health system. This position is designed to support departmental staffing continuity by covering extended leave-of-absence and planned or unplanned PTO absences, providing clinical teams and patients with consistent coverage during periods of sustained need.

System-wide deployment outside the primary region is uncommon and would occur only in exceptional circumstances, with advance notice provided whenever operationally feasible.

The Float OT provides patient-focused, evidence-based occupational therapy within state licensure and clinical guidelines.

The Occupational Therapist Float is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations.

This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency monitoring, compliance with professional organizations, regulatory standards, and regulatory agencies; and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.

The Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapist Float will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians, and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement.
