About the Role

We are a tight-knit, collaborative financial and accounting firm looking for a dedicated Client Accounting Specialist. In this highly interactive, customer-facing role, you will be the go-to resource for our clients, helping them navigate and manage their QuickBooks data.

Because we operate with a lean, cross-functional team, you will have the unique opportunity to build deep client relationships while keeping their day-to-day financials on track.

This position is designed for an experienced accounting professional who loves working directly with people. We value flexibility and a team-first mindset over rigid corporate structures. Furthermore, this role offers a structured path for professional development; for the right candidate, there is ample opportunity to learn and grow into advanced areas such as payroll processing and tax preparation.

Core Responsibilities

Client Interaction & QuickBooks Management

· Serve as the primary, customer-facing point of contact for clients regarding their QuickBooks data and general financial inquiries.

· Navigate client systems, reliably enter data, and keep records up to date with a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

· Provide exceptional client service, utilizing strong interpersonal and listening skills to translate financial data into clear, actionable updates.

Transactional Accounting & Recordkeeping

· Maintain highly accurate bookkeeping records for all daily and weekly financial transactions.

· Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations for a diverse portfolio of client accounts.

· Prepare and generate monthly financial packages, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.

· Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure pristine client financials.

Growth & Development

· Actively participate in cross-training and firm education initiatives to expand your skill set.

· Gradually take on responsibilities in payroll processing and seasonal tax return preparation as you grow within the firm.

Required Qualifications

· Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in a transactional accounting, bookkeeping, or general accounting role.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (an Associate’s degree paired with strong, relevant experience will also be considered).

· Software Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks—you must be comfortable navigating the software and entering data accurately. Familiarity with Excel and Word is also required.

· Soft Skills: Adaptable, goal-oriented team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.

· Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
