**Position Overview**

The Development

Lead provides technical leadership, delivery oversight, and day\-to\-day coordination for a full stack development team supporting Java\-, Angular\-, and AWS\-based applications.

This role combines hands\-on technical contribution with leadership responsibilities, including guiding design decisions, coordinating development efforts, mentoring team members, and helping ensure timely, high\-quality delivery of software solutions.

The Development

Lead partners closely with product owners, architects, QA, operations, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business priorities, engineering standards, and operational expectations.

**Core Responsibilities**

• Strategic Execution: Translate business priorities into actionable development work and help ensure the team delivers against committed goals. Lead application architecture, service design, integration patterns, and technical tradeoff discussions.
• Operational Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and track development activities to support timely completion of features, enhancements, defect resolution, and technical improvements. Coordinate release readiness, deployment support, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, QA, DevOps, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment and delivery success. Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Technical Performance: Contribute directly to the codebase (Java backend services, REST APIs, Angular front\-end features, database integration, and AWS components). Provide guidance on Angular architecture, component design, UI integration, maintainability, and front\-end best practices. Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, and performance through code reviews.
• Team GuidanceLeadership: Mentor junior, mid, and senior developers through coaching, feedback, and professional growth support. Serve as the technical anchor for the team, remove blockers, and manage delivery risks.
• ProcessDocumentation: Establish and reinforce team development standards, coding conventions, runbooks, and technical documentation while identifying continuous process improvements.

**Minimum Requirements**

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of professional software development experience, including substantial experience in full stack development and technical leadership.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SQL/relational databases, Angular, and AWS services. Strong experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma), and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk).
• Compliance: Must meet USPTO/IDE requirements.
• Certifications: No Certification required

**Preferred Expertise**

• Demonstrated success leading a development team in a Java, Angular, and AWS environment within Federal Contracting or enterprise/regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Data, Hibernate, JPA, microservices, containerized deployments (Docker, ECS, EKS), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methods and secure application development practices.
• Strong analytical, decision\-making, and problem\-solving capabilities along with excellent communication skills for technical and non\-technical stakeholders.
