Staff Accountant

Grand Home Furnishings is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. What You’ll Do

Our Staff Accountants keep daily banking, journal entries, and account reconciliations accurate and on schedule. Day to day, you’ll:

• Process daily store deposits, credit card and third-party financing transactions, and related journal entries
• Reconcile assigned accounts and maintain spreadsheets per department procedures
• Prepare the weekly pre-check register and process approved paper checks and EFTs
• Prepare and file sales, use, and property tax returns as assigned
• Update financial reports and assemble the monthly P&L books
• Assist the Controller and CFO with special projects, audit preparation, and government reporting as needed

What We’re Looking For

We care about your accuracy, reliability, and comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets.

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with applicable work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Strong attention to detail required
