About this role

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver attentive, evidence-informed care across patient settings. You’ll assess needs, administer medications and treatments, document care, and coordinate with patients, families, and the care team. Your experience may come from acute, outpatient, long-term, senior, home, or specialty care.

Your impact

Your careful assessment and timely coordination help patients receive appropriate care and support safer transitions between settings.

Duties

  • Assess patients, monitor vital signs, recognize changes, and support triage and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Provide patient care, medication administration, IV infusion and insertion, injections, catheter care, wound care, and infection control using aseptic technique.
  • Support care needs such as pain management, tube feeding, ventilator and airway management, dialysis, ostomy care, and specimen collection as appropriate to the setting.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems; protect privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Coordinate treatment, health coaching, case management, and discharge planning with patients, families, and clinicians.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure and basic life support (BLS) certification, as required for the role and location.
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.
  • Relevant experience may include emergency medicine, critical care, intensive care unit (ICU), pediatrics, labor and delivery, medical-surgical, geriatrics, hospice, behavioral health, or post-acute care.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, EHR/EMR systems, medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT), and Minimum Data Set (MDS) is useful; these are preferred, not universal requirements.
  • Additional setting-specific skills may include ophthalmology, trauma, cardiac catheterization, telemetry, phlebotomy, suturing, occupational health, memory care, assisted living, nursing homes, developmental disability care, and neonatal resuscitation.

Pay: $47.55 - $57.26 per hour
