Senior Accountant

GlobeFlex Capital, L.P. is a boutique equity investment management firm located in the La Jolla (UTC) area of San Diego, serving institutional investors. We are seeking an organized, energetic, and resourceful Senior Accountant to join our team.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced accountant to join our finance team and play a hands-on role in our accounting, reporting, and fund operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Our environment is collegial and team-oriented, and everyone takes on a range of responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Support private fund accounting activities
• Calculate management fees and review client-provided data
• Prepare and record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice review, approval, and payment processing
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with quarter-end and year-end close
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related reporting
• Support external audit and tax preparation requests
• Help improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications

Preferred

• Experience in investment management and/or private fund accounting
• CPA license
• Public accounting background
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Adapts well to colleagues with differing working styles and priorities
• High standards of integrity and accountability

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; Microsoft Business Central or equivalent

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is

$90,000-$120,000 per year

, depending on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
